Hajj Ka Tareeqa (Part 2)
A Brief Guide for Every Muslim
Hajj is a sacred journey and a pillar of Islam that every Muslim aspires to complete. Continuing from Part 1, let’s understand the essential steps of Hajj briefly and clearly.
Main Rituals of Hajj
1. Tawaf al-Ifadah (طواف الإفاضة)
After returning from Mina on Eid day (10th Dhul-Hijjah), pilgrims perform Tawaf al-Ifadah around the Kaaba, symbolizing spiritual purification.
🕋 Tip: Start at the Black Stone and complete seven rounds with Wudu.
2. Sa’i between Safa and Marwah (سعي)
After Tawaf, perform Sa’i by walking seven times between Safa and Marwah, following the footsteps of Hajrah (AS).
3. Rami al-Jamarat (رمي الجمرات)
In Mina, pilgrims stone the three pillars to reject evil. Throw seven pebbles at each while saying "Allahu Akbar".
4. Sacrifice (Qurbani)
Offer an animal sacrifice as a Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), thanking Allah for His mercy.
5. Shaving or Hair Cutting (Halq/Taqsir)
Men: Shave or shorten hair.
