Transcript
00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday, April the 30th.
00:05Just bringing you some of our headlines today.
00:07Well, let's start with the glorious weather. It's absolutely beautiful already this morning in Doncaster
00:13and it's going to continue. We're going to be seeing some good temperatures as the day progresses
00:19up to about 24 degrees centigrade and apparently tomorrow it's going to be even warmer.
00:26So if you're out and about, please do take care. Wear head coverings where you can if you're susceptible to heat stroke
00:34or anything like that and also obviously put plenty of cream on because it can catch you just when you're walking about.
00:41So yeah, let's make the most of it but let's just make sure we take care of ourselves at the same time.
00:47Weather aside, let's just have a look what we've got today.
00:51Okay, so yesterday I put out a piece that comes from the police. It relates to an incident that happened earlier in the month.
01:02Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a collision in Doncaster
01:09that took place in the early hours of Friday 18th of April on the Crescent.
01:14It is reported that there was a collision involving a pedestrian and a transit van.
01:21A 65-year-old woman was taken to hospital with injuries which are described as life-changing
01:27and she remains in hospital. So if you have anything that can help the police in their inquiries,
01:33please do get in touch.
01:35And then finally one that my colleague put out late last night.
01:39There is an urgent appeal that has been launched to find a Doncaster Bond footballer
01:43who has not been seen since Saturday morning.
01:46Leon Osborne who played for Bradford City in the Football League.
01:50He was last seen going to Birmingham via Doncaster.
01:55If you've seen him, obviously, please let the officials know.
01:59People are concerned for his safety.
02:01His phone is switched on, but it's going straight to answer phone.
02:06And we've got a couple of pictures of him there.
02:11So if you take a look at that and if you recognise him out and about,
02:15like I said, just make sure somebody knows.
02:19So for those three stories and for anything else that's happening in Doncaster today,
02:23just visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
02:27and of course Facebook and X.
02:29And have a happy sunny Wednesday.
