01:29We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. If you want to stay in the Gion area, this is a great spot. Just a few blocks off of major shopping stores but near the city.
01:38lots of little historic alleyways. Not the most convenient location to get to Kyoto Station, but it's an easy 10 minutes, $10, taxi ride. Lots of fine dining restaurants around if you want that.
01:53Have to look a little harder for cheaper restaurants, but I had the best ramen a block from the hotel. The staff were awesome, the place was very clean and quiet and you can't beat the location. Being right by the river is awesome too. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Gion.

03:00The hotel is located at the heart of Kyoto. The room was very spacious for the price. The service was good.

03:20This place has a ton of potential. However the stained tatami mats, small shower and outdated toilet were disappointing. The staff were basically paperweights with no customer service training. At one point our room had second hand smoke from someone indoor or outdoor smoking. Otherwise, Gion is the best part of Kyoto, and Rin is perfectly located. Too bad the controllables were not better managed.
