00:34tech and ICT industries
00:36are developing fast.
00:38Total revenues reached
00:404.1 billion euros
00:42last year, with services
00:44now exported to around 90
00:46countries. We've been to meet
00:48some of the businesses making it
00:50happen.
00:52From animated children's shows
00:54to big movies,
00:56all this has been created
00:58by UnitedSoft,
01:00a company specialising
01:02in visual effects and computer
01:04generated imagery.
01:06Based in Tashkent,
01:08some of its content has made it all
01:10the way to Bollywood.
01:12You see the growth of the company
01:14in terms of not just the number
01:16of the teammates that I have,
01:18but also the amount of projects
01:20and the scale of the projects that we're working on
01:22is of course really exciting.
01:24Our plan is to start working on the more
01:28bigger scale projects such as Hollywood.
01:30UnitedSoft is a member of IT Park,
01:34which runs an ecosystem of support
01:36to develop business.
01:38With branches across Uzbekistan
01:40and representation abroad,
01:42it helps to create jobs
01:44for tech-savvy young workers
01:46and attract foreign companies,
01:48which already make up

03:41is future-proofing its economy
03:43and positioning the country
03:45as a leading innovation hub
03:47in Central Asia.

03:58who's in Tashkent.
03:59So, Minister, why all this growth then
04:01in tech and ICT?
04:03It's because we had the bold vision
04:05of our president to make
04:06Uzbekistan an IT hub,
04:07which is creating the job opportunities,
04:09highly paid job opportunities for our use.
04:11And Uzbekistan had a young and growing population
04:14and we need to create the jobs
04:17in Uzbekistan.
04:18And how is this then driving
04:20sustainable growth in the country?
04:21Uzbekistan used to be mostly an agrarian country
04:24and we are now trying to focus more
04:28on new service sectors growth
04:30and we had the highest growth rates
04:32in the ICT-related services
04:34in fintech
04:35and in all these new start-up areas.
04:38So, this is an enabling growing field
04:41for our young talents
04:43to grow their ideas
04:45to make future successful start-ups.
