00:17Crowds of up to 200,000 people are flocking in the Vatican
00:21and given this is a special jubilee year,
00:24that number could be even higher.
00:27In the last 24 hours, the number of people has increased significantly.
00:33As you can see, barriers have been installed around the area
00:36to limit the amount of people entering the square.
00:40More than 2,000 police officers have been deployed
00:44with anti-drone systems and a 24-hour no-fly zone
00:49across Rome that is already in place.
00:53Fighter jets are on standby, special police sniper units
00:58have been deployed on rooftops and on buildings
01:01along Via della Conciliazione, leading to St. Peter's Square.
01:07And a special and extensive, actually, red zone
01:11has been enforced in the Vatican around the square
01:16with parking that has been prohibited
01:20but also several checkpoints that have been set up
01:23around the area to filter the crowd entering the square.
01:29Now, on Saturday, the funeral mass is taking place
01:33at 10 a.m. here in St. Peter's Square
01:36and after that, the coffin is going to be transferred
01:40to Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore for the burial.
