00:00Catholics begin nine days of mourning. How does the death of the Pope reverberate across the whole world?

00:09Well, there is an element of sadness that is slowly percolating because I woke up this morning and I was unaware of what had happened.

00:20And suddenly I heard on the radio that half an hour earlier, the Vatican had announced that he'd passed away.

00:28And then I sent a message, a text message to a couple of bishops I work with.

00:34And later they called me and they said, Harry, we were shocked.

00:37We didn't know about it until we read your message.

00:41And just like them, many people around the world would be very sad for the loss of a man who has been on our television screens,

00:52in our homes for so long that there is a familiarity that is there.

00:58It's almost like he's part of the family.

01:01And I think that is what they will miss.
