NASA has postponed the launch of its latest space telescope, SPHEREx, designed to search for life’s key ingredients in the Milky Way, along with the sun-focused PUNCH mission. Originally set to launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the delay is due to ongoing rocket checkouts. Weather and integration issues also contributed to the postponement. A new launch date will be announced soon, with multiple windows available through April. The dual launch approach reduces costs while sending both missions to a sun-synchronous orbit.
