Van de Donk excited to reunite with 'intelligent leader' Slegers

Van de Donk hails the start that good friend and former team-mate Renee Slegers has made as a manager.

00:00I can't wait to see Renee. She's such a good person. It's amazing to see she's made it this far in her career already.

00:07It's going to be nice seeing her again. But when we were 16 and 18 we were totally different persons.

00:13We developed so much more than we would. But it was fun. I always had a lot of fun with Renee.

00:20During the years we played together and also a national team. She was a great player as well.

00:25Very intelligent. A leader. She was my example. So I always would feel better.

00:31But at the same time she was one of my friends.
