Iñigo Calderón remaining realistic about Brsitol Rovers’ survival bid

00:00Bristol Rovers head coach Inigo Calderon has made clear that he is remaining realistic

00:05about the Gasser's chances of surviving in Ligue 1 this season. They currently sit in

00:11I cannot answer for the players, obviously, but for me, as I said, I've been saying that

00:19for a while and I didn't want to look pessimist. I was trying to be realistic and if you haven't

00:25done your job, you still have to do it. So, I don't know if maybe any of the players didn't

00:33know that. Now, obviously, they know because it's easy to know that. But to be fair, I think

00:39the last week has been good. It's difficult and I say it's difficult to keep saying that

00:44we are working well and we are doing things right and I know that it's difficult to believe

00:49that is what I think. And I think the games we played, we should get more from them. Again,

00:57it's like repeating and repeating. So, at least I had to do a press conference that you asked

01:01me, I tried to answer. But for me, it's not about telling things, it's about working and

01:05that's what we are doing. Obviously, I have to try to explain what we are doing. And as

01:09I say, I think we are trying to do everything possible.

01:13However, Rovers player, Ruil Sotrio, has made clear that his side are still fighting for

01:19their survival in League One and will keep going till the end.

01:22Yeah, obviously, it's been tough, especially after Saturday's result mentally. But yeah,

01:31we're all focused for the game on Friday. There's got to be a reaction to be honest with you.

01:36Obviously, we've dropped into the bottom four and we need the results now as simple as that.

01:43I wouldn't say it's more real. We should have known that we've kind of been in this situation

01:47for a long time. And I don't know whether after the two results against Huddersfield and Bolton

01:55at home, we thought we were safe. And then after a bad run of form, then we're deep in it.

02:03Obviously, I'm second in the league, so they're obviously a good side. But we've got to just

02:10go there and battle and win our duels and get a result.
