Tindall delighted with Newcastle performance in 'leader' Eddie Howe's absence

Tindall said he was 'super proud' of the Newcastle players, but that he wants Howe back as soon as possible

00:00Super proud of the players, not surprised because we've got a fantastic group of players,

00:09we've got some great leaders within that and it's at times like this when the manager is not there

00:15and he's not there to lead the team that you have to step up individually and collectively

00:19and everybody certainly did that today so you know really really proud of the players to go

00:23out and deliver the performance that they did today against the good Manchester United team.

00:27Oh yeah obviously it's different when you're obviously stepping in to lead the team in the

00:33absence of the manager it's always going to be slightly different but we've worked together for

00:36so long now we've been together for 17 years we know the expectations and the demands set upon

00:41ourselves individually and what we set upon the rest of the group and it's then down to the players to

00:48take that information on board and go out and deliver a performance and you know they certainly

00:51went out and did that today. Obviously you know I was delighted to receive the message after the

00:56game and he was able to watch the game so you know hopefully that the result and the performance

01:02would have you know put a smile on his face and he'd be in good spirits and you know the sooner

01:06again the sooner the managing back the better for everybody.
