Aux Etats-Unis, à la fin des années 60, alors que les revendications des femmes secouent la société, les femmes, dans les organes de presse, sont toujours reléguées à des postes subalternes alors qu'elles sont nombreuses à être plus talentueuses et plus instruites que leurs homologues masculins. Trois employées du magazine "News of the Week" décident de réagir et de secouer le cocotier de l'institution. Même si l'ensemble est plutôt convenu, on ne peut être que captivé par cette évocation puissante de la lutte des femmes sur la voie de l'égalité professionnelle. Divertissant et enthousiasmant.
