Survivants de l'escape game meurtrier de la Minos Corporation, Zoey Davis et Ben Miller décident de s'attaquer à la mystérieuse organisation après avoir découvert l'adresse de son QG à New York. Zoey a beau être aidée par un thérapeute afin de dépasser sa peur de l'avion, la jeune femme préfère prendre la route en compagnie de Ben. Le duo trouve le repaire délabré de Minos mais Zoey se fait voler son collier par un vagabond. Les deux amis se lancent à la poursuite du voleur et se retrouvent coincés dans un métro qui les conduit dans une station abandonnée. Dans le wagon, ils font la connaissance de Rachel, Brianna, Nathan et Théo. Ils découvrent qu'ils sont tous des survivants d'escape games de Minos...
