00:00I think that when you go out and you're hours away from anything there's nothing
00:12around and and you can't hear a single noise other than the grains of sand
00:18moving and then when you look up you start to feel really in a sense
00:23insignificant that's really a different experience one that everyone should have
00:29the benefit of of seeing my name is Benjamin Barakat and I'm an award-winning
00:35night sky photographer most people are living in cities and overpopulated places
00:42and there's a lot of beauty that you just don't see you know we're like clouded out
00:47in our vision astrophotography is the process of going out and spending a
00:53night under the night sky and capturing it you know it's a huge difference than in
01:01daylight when you can see your subject and weather can change circumstances can
01:07change you have to be prepared to adapt in order to achieve that image that you had
01:14in mind my goal has been looking at how can I integrate what I do in my family I
01:22feel like it's my duty to take them around the world to take them in the car and go
01:29hit the road and show them the stars and show them landscapes and show them who I
01:34am and the CRV with the dream pod concept is perfect for late nights out in the
01:40wilderness I see the world in a different way now I'm constantly seeing
01:47compositions in life things that look beautiful and just imagining just like
01:52being a child again
02:00when I look out there it's kind of like it's kind of like my religion like
02:06looking out to the cosmos that is creation that is existence
02:13it's kind of like they're being robbed of that you know when you live in the city
02:17and so on anybody that's put out there I find it hard to believe that you won't
02:24be taken back to what is real you won't be given that feeling it's the place that
02:32that I find true peace you know
