00:00The US stock market experienced a sharp decline at the close of Tuesday's session, following

00:07another day of significant volatility.

00:11After posting gains in the morning, stocks began to dip following President Trump's

00:16announcement that the US would impose a 104 percent tariff on all Chinese imports starting

00:23on Wednesday.

00:25The S&P 500 initially surged by 4.1 percent, a gain that would have been its strongest in

00:32years, but quickly reversed course, plummeting by as much as 3 percent before recovering

00:37slightly to end the day down 1.6 percent.

00:43The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 320 points or 0.8 percent, while the Nasdaq Composite

00:50declined by 2.1 percent.

00:54The dramatic fluctuations came after global stock markets saw strong rallies earlier in
