00:00We had great discussions today, I think, on the obvious subject of Iran and also the less

00:06obvious subject with respect to Israel, and that's trade.

00:11And I think the prime minister is going to tell you a little bit about trade and what

00:14they're doing for the United States.

00:17As you said, we had the opportunity to talk today about many subjects.

00:21First, if I can mention tariffs, it's a subject of some interest today.

00:27I can tell you that I said to the president a very simple thing.

00:31We will eliminate the trade deficit with the United States.

00:36We intend to do it very quickly.

00:38We think it's the right thing to do.

00:40And we're going to also eliminate trade barriers, a variety of trade barriers that have been

00:45put up unnecessarily.

00:46And I think Israel can serve as a model for many countries who ought to do the same.

00:53I recognize the position of the United States.

00:57It says, you know, we're allowing other countries to put tariffs on us, but we don't put tariffs

01:03on them.

01:04And, you know, I'm a free trade champion, and free trade has to be fair trade.

01:08And I think that's basically the position that you've put forward, Mr. President.

01:13We are going to eliminate the tariffs.
