00:00Following the condemnation of Kamalek, Masbate First District Representative Richard Ko

00:06said that their camp did not stop the campaign against them using the Emergency Alert System.

00:13According to Ko, who is running for governor,

00:16they only knew that their name was mentioned in the text blast when it went viral online on April 3

00:23when some of the residents of Masbate City received the text that was thought to be an emergency alert to the calamity.

00:28But Ko and some of his colleagues were just campaigning.

00:32Ko said that his name was misused in the Emergency Alert.

00:36Likewise, to his brothers,

00:38they did not allow him to misuse the Emergency Alert System.

00:43Aside from the condemnation,

00:44Kamalek reported the misuse of the Message Alert

00:47to the National Telecommunications Commission or NTC

00:50and Department of Information and Communications Technology or DICT.
