00:13The biggest challenge in this is that

00:18children bring their parents for some other problem,

00:22so when we see them for some other problems,

00:26we think that they are autistic.

00:29Normally, autism is a brain wiring defect.

00:36The brain is not able to do sensory integration.

00:43All the impulses that reach the brain through sensation,

00:48the brain is not able to interpret them.

00:50That is why children are autistic.

00:52The biggest problem in this is social interaction.

00:56Children are not able to have eye-to-eye contact.

00:59There is a lack of language development.

01:01A lot of children come to us and say that

01:03their child is not able to speak.

01:04Their parents are not able to speak.

01:06They have not been able to speak monosyllabic or bisyllabic speech for a year.

01:10They have not been able to make sentences for 2 years.

01:12They have not been able to speak.

01:13So, sometimes they come to us for 2-3 years for speech.

01:18But when we examine the child overall,

01:21we find that the child is autistic,

01:27because of which the child is not able to speak.

01:30Their hearing is normal,

01:32but the parents feel that the child is not able to hear.

01:36The child does not hear itself,

01:39but if there is a TV or mobile in the other room,

01:42the child can hear it.

01:44Because it is a social problem,

01:45the child does not respond to its name.

01:47The child does not have eye-to-eye contact.

01:49The child does not develop speech.

01:51So, these are the primary symptoms of autism.

01:55Every 2nd of April is World Autism Day.

01:59Its main aim is to spread awareness about autism.

02:02Its aim is to tell people about its treatment.

02:05Autism is a neurological disorder

02:07whose symptoms can be seen in children after 18 months.

02:11Especially in children,

02:12seeing round things,

02:14being afraid of going in a crowd,

02:16crying or laughing for no reason,

02:18hyperactive,

02:20such symptoms can be seen in children.
