A survivor of the earthquake that struck Mandalay, in Myanmar, said on Monday (March 31) that he felt abandoned by the authorities as he struggled out of his collapsed restaurant and tried to rescue co-workers. He said three of the staff died in the earthquake and that one of the bodies still remains under the rubble. - REUTERS

00:00I was stuck under debris. I got hit to my waist and my hand got chopped. It took many
00:16hours for rescuers to pull me out as my hand was pulled slowly out of the rubble. Then
00:23things fell down on me just after I got out. I was lucky.
00:42I have been removing the debris on my own. No one has helped me yet. I have to manage
00:49to myself to remove the rubble as my shop was a high building and the wreckage could
00:53be dangerous to the neighbours. I have to hire a bulldozer to clear the mess. I have
00:57to pay 20 gallons of fuel to the driver for one hour. I am on my own to do cleaning as
01:03no one is helping me yet.
