A team of architects from New Delhi crafted a terracotta cooling system that looks like a giant beehive.

00:00I was working with clay for many years, I mean before that.
00:29And something like this was first time.
00:32So the idea struck when I was actually thinking that okay, traditionally these earthen pots
00:36are used for cooling water for thousands of years.
00:40So we thought, okay, I mean, why not use the same system but probably in a slightly more
00:44innovative manner for cooling air.
00:46Well, how does it work?
01:17Currently the challenge is that when you look at an innovation like this, most of the
01:38people assume that it is meant for villages.
01:41That's the general mindset when they look at mitti and terracotta.
01:44And with good design and art, we are trying to break that stereotype mentality.
