00:00Let not the marriage and the kids and the responsibilities and the work stop you from
00:15following the dreams that you have.
00:38Because I came from a middle class family, the mindset was that after I finish my graduation,
00:45I need to start the job.
00:54I became a working mother.
00:56It was home, work, home, work, home, work with absolutely no other aspects of my interests.
01:09I enjoyed getting into the bits and pieces of the code and solving things.
01:12And I said, I need to learn something more.
01:25What helped me in the course is that it was very, very structured.
01:31So the basics of probability and statistics, the basics of Python, that was covered first.
01:38And then we moved on to the advanced concepts of machine learning and AI.
01:48I feel in the hindsight that if I would have taken PhD at that point in time, these basics
01:55were not covered.
01:56These basics were not revised in my mind.
02:20I wanted to do an MS from a university outside India.
02:25I got the chance of completing my master's from Liverpool John Moores University, again,
02:31a course that is provided by UpGrad.
02:43That's also something that helped me to remind myself in all the other things that I was
02:48doing that I need to complete these modules on time.
03:11Taking this course in machine learning and AI gave me that cutting edge advantage.
03:24You as an individual, you as a girl, when you were in college, you had some aspirations,
03:30you had some dreams.
03:31I would say let not that take a backseat forever in your life.
03:36If I can do it, you can also do it.
