00:00I'm Vilas Nayak, I'm a self-taught artist.
00:20So in 2004, I went on stage for the first ever time to do a speed painting.
00:26I was so nervous because I was an introvert kid and I didn't want to face so many people.
00:33But then I took that risk to go on stage to create something.
00:38I took 15 minutes to complete a small painting.
00:52So I remember I used to paint almost 8 to 10 hours a day and my mom used to remind me
00:57to have food on time because I was so involved in painting.
01:16And I was part of two reality shows in 2010 and 11 that gave me the break that I was really
01:23looking for.
01:24One was a regional show here in Karnataka and the other one was India's Got Talent on
01:29Colors TV.
01:35For me to be an artist itself was a success in life.
01:38So I was very sure about what I wanted to become.
01:42And that was just spend my entire day painting.
01:53So it's been 8 years since I took up art as a full-time profession.
01:57It's been an amazing journey.
01:59I have had opportunity to perform at some of the most prestigious stages in the world,
02:04to travel to over 35 countries, to meet a lot of inspirational people.
