00:00Hello friends, let's talk about voter registration.
00:04If you are a new voter, how do you register?
00:07If you have recently changed your city, how do you register?
00:11If you have some problems with your voter ID card, how do you get it fixed?
00:15Friends, only 2-3 months are left in the election and this is the right time to get all this done.
00:20I would like to tell you about all these things in this video.
00:23Let's see.
00:241st January is the qualifying date for voting registration for the year of elections.
00:33That is, on 1st January 2019, if you were 18 years old before this date, then you qualify.
00:39But if you are 18 years old after 1st January 2019, then you cannot vote in this election.
00:45If you are a first time voter, then you will go to the website www.nvsp.in for registration.
00:52This is the government website, National Voter Service Portal.
00:55If you scroll down, you will see a form 6.
01:00Click on that form 6.
01:02You have to fill this form 6 if you are a new voter and want to register for voting.
01:07While filling the form, you will have to attach 3 documents.
01:111. Scanned copy of your photograph.
01:132. Age proof.
01:14For age proof, you can use your birth certificate, 10th class certificate, passport or driving license.
01:203. Address proof.
01:22For address proof, you can use your electricity bill, telephone bill, passport or driving license.
01:27After attaching these documents, you can submit this form.
01:31After submitting, you will get an email on your given email id with a reference number.
01:37Using that reference number, you can check your application status.
01:41That how far your application has reached.
01:44It can take up to a month to accept the application and issue a voter ID card.
01:50So, now is the right time to do this work because there are only 2-3 months left in the election.
01:55Next question.
01:56If something is wrongly printed on your voter ID card,
01:59Sometimes it happens that people's names are written wrongly,
02:02People's addresses are not written correctly on the voter ID card.
02:05If you want to correct these things, then you will go to the same website and fill form 8.
02:10While filling this form, you will need 3 numbers.
02:13EPIC Number, Serial Number of Electoral Roll and Part Number of Electoral Roll.
02:18EPIC Number is Electors Photo Identity Card Number.
02:23This number is written on the picture of your voter ID card.
02:26First, there are 3 alphabets in it and then there is a number of 7 digits.
02:31This is your EPIC Number.
02:33You can fill this form only when you have got your voter ID card.
02:37To find the serial number and part number of your electoral roll,
02:41You will have to go to the website of electoralsearch.in.
02:44On this website, you will have to find your name from the entire database.
02:48You can search this through your EPIC number.
02:51Enter your EPIC number and you will get the remaining 2 numbers from there.
02:55Fill these 3 numbers in your form 8.
02:58In form 8, you can write where you have a problem and what has been wrongly filled.
03:04Again, it can take up to a month.
03:07So, now is the right time to do this.
03:09Now the question is, what will happen if you move from one city to another?
03:13What will happen if you change your constituency?
03:16The rule says that you can register from only one constituency.
03:20Your name can come in only one electoral roll.
03:22When you move to a new city,
03:24The day you move to a new address,
03:26You can register for a new address on a new voter ID.
03:30At the same time, you will have to cancel the old one.
03:33Now, use form 7 to delete your old voter registration.
03:38Friends, this form 7 is used for any type of deletion.
03:42In the column of reasons, you will write shifted.
03:47If you are shifting from one constituency to another.
03:50But you can still use this form 7,
03:53If someone you know has expired,
03:55If someone you know is missing,
03:57If someone is not qualified,
03:58You can use form 7 for that too.
04:00Or if there is a duplicate record.
04:02To remove the name from all their electoral rolls,
04:05This form 7 is used.
04:08And the new constituency you are moving into,
04:10You will have to fill in form 6 again.
04:13From that new address.
04:15And then what you have to do is,
04:16If any of your registration application is rejected,
04:19You fill in all the eligibility criteria,
04:22But still your application is rejected.
04:25Then you will use the Grebians Redressal Portal.
04:29This portal is on the Election Commission website.
04:32You can see it here.
04:33If you click on this link,
04:35You can submit your complaint regarding any issue.
04:39This is especially used if your application is rejected.
04:42And if you want to do all this offline,
04:45I won't recommend doing it offline.
04:47Because it is easier to do it online.
04:49You can download, print and mail the form offline.
04:54You will have to mail it to your nearest election branch.
04:57And even if you don't want to download this form,
05:00If you don't have internet,
05:01Although you might not be watching this video,
05:04But if you know someone who doesn't have internet access,
05:08Then you can get all these forms,
05:10Form 6, 7, 8,
05:11At any voter registration centre.
05:14And if you are in any service,
05:16If you are in the armed forces,
05:17BSF, CISF,
05:18Or if you work in the Indian government,
05:20Or if you work in the Indian police force,
05:23Then there is service voting for you.
05:26Service voting is a little different.
05:28There is a separate portal for service voting.
05:30You can go to this website,
05:33You can go to the service portal,
05:35You can register here,
05:37You can file a complaint,
05:38And you can see your names here.
05:40I hope you found this video helpful.
05:43All the links are available in the description.
05:46Share this video with as many people as possible.
05:49So that more people can register for voting.
05:52So that more people can register for voting.
05:54So that more people can register for voting.
05:56So that more people can register for voting.
05:58And I would like to say again,
06:00This is the right time to register for voting.
06:02Because elections are very near.
06:04And as I said,
06:05It can take up to a month to register.
06:07So let's meet in the next video.
06:09This was my first video,
06:11In collaboration with Brute.
