"Enjoyable to have men as dessert, not main course."

This advice from Twinkle Khanna may be a few months old, but on International Women's Day, it's still relevant.

00:00For me, I think it was very clear at that point
00:02that a woman doesn't have to rely on anyone besides herself.
00:18And she doesn't know this story, but I think somewhere
00:21it's because I have this singular image in my head.
00:24When we were little and we moved to our grandmother's house,
00:27we all had to share a room.
00:28So my mother and my aunt would share the bed
00:30and my sister and me had mattresses on the floor.
00:32And every morning at five, my mom would wake up.
00:35She would put on this Jane Fonda tape.
00:37She'd put it on mute and she would do her workout all around it.
00:41And then she would go to work.
00:43At that time, they used to do three shifts.
00:45And she'd come home at nine. She never complained.
00:47She always had a smile.
00:48And for me, I think it was very clear at that point
00:51that a woman doesn't have to rely on anyone besides herself.
00:56And that men were okay.
00:58It was enjoyable to have them, like a dessert.
01:01But they were certainly not the main cause.
