01:48If you've had COVID-19 recently, you can actually wait for about two to three months,

01:5390 days before taking the COVID vaccine because your body will have some amount

01:58of natural immunity towards it and you can take the vaccine after that period is over.

02:10and which one is more effective, Covaxin or COVID-19?

02:13So actually, it is really, you know, you have to do the math, understand the trials,

02:19what was and what that number is based on, you know, on what calculation that number is based.

02:24But so far, if you grossly look at it, at least in India, the options that we have with both

02:30the vaccines, Covishield and Covaxin seem to be equally efficacious.

02:35And the numbers, whether it's 93, 98, all really depends on how the trials were designed.

02:44But in terms of effectivity, both vaccines are equally effective.

03:30But other than that, they've not really noticed any major side effects in terms of immediate

03:35long term really, we'll have to wait and watch.

03:38But so far, we've been it's been what six to eight months since all over the world,

03:42people have started taking the vaccine.

03:44And we have not been, you know, coming across any major side effect

03:49of or long term side effect of the vaccine.

03:52So it seems to be pretty safe.

03:59and also whether it's safe to take it on your period.

04:03We are not recommending pregnant women to take the vaccine electively.

04:07However, if somebody has taken the first shot and realizes later on that they are pregnant,

04:13it is not so far not shown any side effect to the pregnancy or the baby.

04:20But as a recommendation, we are we are telling pregnant and lactating

04:24women to wait for the vaccine and to gather more data.

04:27Yes, you can take the vaccine during your periods,

04:30there is no contraindication for the same.
