00:00And there were media cars around us with their camera and a big light on top.
00:08And, you know, it felt as if we have committed some kind of a big crime, you know,
00:12maybe like a murderer or a terrorist or something like that.
00:15We were actually gazed by them.
00:20I felt in 2007 when we lost the World Cup, which is not part of the movie,
00:25so I actually can talk about something that's not part of the movie,
00:28which I felt had a very deep effect on me was, you know, when we landed back at Delhi.
00:34So, there was a lot of media and everything and the hype was not really right for us at that point of time.
00:41So, there are a lot of media, we, of course, we are trying to avoid media because that was not the right time.
00:47We can't really go and say anything. And the fact that, you know, we were more depressed about it than anybody else.
00:52You know, often cricketers or sports persons are criticized as to, you know, you guys lost the game.
00:59Yes, we lost the game because that's what sport is. You win some, you lose some.
01:03And at times people feel that we are not emotional enough about it.
01:08But I always felt, you know, as a sports person, you have to be strong enough to go through everything.
01:13And it has to be within yourself. You know, it's not about coming in a press conference and crying about stuff
01:19or crying on the field about what has happened. You know, I am a strong man. I can deal with everything.
01:24And at that point of time when we landed, you know, there was no way out. So, actually, we had to get out in a police van.
01:30You know, in a PCR. And I was sitting next to Veeru bhaji, you know, we were in the Sehwag and it was evening or night time.
01:39So, we were traveling at a decent speed, you know, maybe 60 or 70. At 60, 70 for Indians it's quite a bit on a narrow road.
01:47And there were media cars around us with their camera and a big light on top. And, you know, it felt as if we have committed some kind of a big crime.
01:58You know, maybe like a murderer or terrorist or something like that. And we were actually chased by them. And after a while, you know,
02:05maybe five minutes or seven minutes, we actually entered a police station. We went there, we sat for a while.
02:12And we were like, okay, we will get the cars. We sat in the car and we left after 15-20 minutes. So, that actually had a big impact, you know, when it comes to me.
02:21And, you know, again, you have to go through everything in life. So, it had an impact. I was like, rather than sitting and cribbing about it, you know,
02:29let's channelize whatever it is. It may be aggression, it may be anger, it may be anything. Let's channelize it to make myself a better cricketer,
02:37a better human being, you know, because I also knew, okay, if same thing happens with some other sports person or some other human being,
02:43I know exactly as to how I am not supposed to react. So, there is something that's not featured in the movie, but I felt that was to some extent a big turning point in my life.
