00:00Of course, putting a little lemon in your water and heating it up
00:04won't have a negative effect.
00:06But the only way it would help is if you were to trek up to the mountain
00:10to gather those leaves yourself.
00:13Because you'd actually be burning some calories there,
00:16not just sitting in your AC room and drinking the green tea.
00:19Actually, I think it was my best friend who's the reason why I put on weight.
00:33You probably know him also.
00:35He's called Ronald McDonald.
00:39I just remember one of those frustrating low days
00:44and I just promised myself that once I figure this thing out,
00:48I'm going to make it easy for everybody else who comes after me.
01:03So we have this arbitrary number of,
01:05don't eat anything after 7am, 7pm or 8pm, right?
01:09And we've had most popular, let's just say, Bollywood celebrities
01:16claim that you could be eating parathas all day long.
01:20As long as you stop eating at 7pm, you're going to stay fit, man.
01:24Don't worry. And that makes no sense.
01:26Fat loss, weight loss is not a function of eating fat-burning foods.
01:34It is just a factor of eating in a calorie deficit.
01:40And it's really as simple as that.
01:46You know how, let's say, chia seeds have taken over the health market.
01:59We've had Sabja seeds all along.
02:01They look the same, taste the same.
02:04There is no difference in nutritive value.
02:06We're told olive oil is so good for you, right?
02:09And it is. It is by all means.
02:11I mean, it's a great source of poly and monounsaturated fats.
02:14It's great for your heart health and some such.
02:16But what we generally do is, to just tell people that olive oil is good,
02:25we need a bad guy.
02:27You need the villain.
02:29And what we did was, to make olive oil good, we made ghee bad.
02:45I'm surprised that a personal trainer is not pointing out that
02:48for an active woman in her 20s, who works out every day,
02:53she's definitely not consuming enough protein, which is concerning.
02:57The initial idea was just to address and kind of set the record straight
03:03on some popular weight loss misconceptions or nutritional claims.
03:07Let's say one of your friends or relatives has recently lost a lot of weight.
03:14What is the first thing we do?
03:16We dial the phone.
03:18And we say,
03:23How is that different from the kids who may be pressing their parents
03:27to buy avocados and protein shakes and, you know, apple cider vinegar,
03:32when they're looking at their favorite celebrities, YouTubers do these things.
03:36It's not possible to just cut, copy, paste a plan that somebody else is following
03:42or that somebody is giving you, let's say, on a YouTube video
03:46or just saying to you, it works.
03:53Before you invest money in the form of a gym membership,
03:57in the form of supplements,
04:00prove to yourself first that you have the self-discipline to do the basics,
04:05which is resist temptation.
04:09Say no to that box of Domino's once in a while.
04:12And two, if you promise yourself, I'm going to run for four days a week, do it.
