Nigel Farage visited  Lincoln to launch Reform Uk's campaign in the Mayoral and county council elections on May 1. During the night three of the eight defecting Skegness Urban District Society councillors were welcomed to Reform UK. We we bring you a full list of all candidates from all parties when they are published.

00:00Three of Scotland's councillors were welcomed to Reform UK by the party's leader, Nigel Farage,

00:06when he visited Lincoln to launch the campaign for the fourth general mayoral and county council elections.

00:13May the 1st is our first really big hurdle since the last general election.

00:20Now it's good that we have so many candidates and they're sitting here in the front row.

00:26They're not a bad looking lot, really.

00:30It's good that many of them have not been in politics before.

00:35But it's equally good when people join us who've got experience of politics at all levels,

00:40like Dame Andrea Jenkins, who I'm thrilled, thrilled is standing as our candidate.

00:51Andrea joined us just before Christmas.

00:55She was the 100,000th member and we've more than doubled our membership since then.

01:00Something is happening in this country. Something is happening in this county.

01:05We're attracting candidates of her calibre and I'll be back to help her between now and May the 1st.

01:12I want Andrea to win. We want Andrea to win.

01:20Because I know that she will do us proud. Of that I have absolutely no doubts at all.

01:27Now there are many people in other parties, independents, other organisations that are joining us.

01:35And by the way, did you notice that one of the well-dressed members of your audience

01:42turned up wearing a Lincolnshire tie?

01:45Well, he's not wearing it anymore because I've nicked it.

01:52Now, we have some people who are joining us this evening,

01:57who I'm going to ask to come onto the stage and introduce themselves.

02:01First, we have a councillor on East Lindsay District Council.

02:07He's been leader of the Skegness Urban District Society, a sort of independent style party.

02:13Councillor Danny Brooks will, from this moment in time, represent us on East Lindsay District Council.

02:22Thank you. How do you follow that?

02:26So yes, I'm a councillor on East Lindsay District Council.

02:30And as of today, I'm making the announcement that I'm joining Reform UK.

02:42As Nigel has said, recently, up until today, I've been the leader of the Skegness Urban District Society,

02:49a party we formed because we didn't believe any of the major political parties truly represented us.

02:56We stood for real people, real needs, fighting for Skegness and the wider area of Lincolnshire.

03:03But now with Reform UK, we finally have a national political party that shares our values and our priorities.

03:13And let me tell you, Lincolnshire needs reform desperately.

03:19Lincolnshire is under attack like never before.

03:24The failing infrastructure, our roads are riddled with potholes crumbling under our feet,

03:2950 metre high pylons to blight our beautiful countryside,

03:33solar panels taking up farmland which should be used to feed the nation.

03:40And it's clear that the present government is hell-bent on finishing off farming in the UK.

03:46The dreadful inheritance tax could be the final nail in the coffin of Lincolnshire's farmers.

03:52This has got to stop.

04:02I'm just a poor ice cream man from Skegness.

04:07And I've had my business rates, Bill, drop on the map this week,

04:11and my business rates have gone up by 140%.

04:16How can a small business sustain these, you know, it's madness, it's madness.

04:23I'm now going to ask all of our Lincolnshire County Council candidates

04:31to join myself, Richard and Andrea on the platform.
