A 10-year-old boy from Chiling Village in southern China was rescued after drifting at sea for a full day and night! He went fishing but was swept away by waves, floating in the South China Sea until a passing fishing boat spotted him.

Fishermen were impressed by his ability to stay aboard his kayak. Thankfully, he was brought ashore, and the police reunited him with his family.

them telling him this experience will serve him well in life was heart warming. i hope his parents got to meet the uncles who saved their boy. How terrifying. Reminder that rip currents can pull floating things out very quickly and you can't paddle back just like you can't swim directly back. but lost on the ocean all night. poor bub.
