Thousands Of Filipinos Gather In The Hague To Support PFRRD! Last night, my younger brother, Nilo who lives in England with his family, shared a video showing thousands of Filipinos from all parts of Europe, Canada, Dubai and the USA in a massive display of support for former President Rodrigo Duterte in The Hague, Netherlands.
The event participated in by at least 5,000 Filipino expatriates, was held at Malieveld Park in The Hague where former President Duterte is being held in the detention facility of the International Criminal Court (ICC) where he was brought following his arrest by the Philippine National Police in Manila on March 11.
Vice President Sara Duterte who is now in The Hague organizing the legal team to represent her father, joined the huge crowd and shared updates on the case and condition of the former President.
Nilo, who is now a British citizen along with his family, was one of the thousands of Filipino expatriates from all parts of Europe who traveled to The Hague to show support for former President Duterte. This dramatic spectacle of Filipinos showing support for the former President is also happening in the Philippines where thousands gathered for Peace and Prayer rally.
(Video of the crowd in The Hague was taken by Nilo Piñol.)
