The 15 Palestinians to be resettled in Malaysia after their release from Israeli jail will be under scrutiny by security agencies, says Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.  Speaking during his weekly post-Cabinet briefing on Wednesday (March 19), the government spokesman and Communications Minister said the resettlement process has yet to begin, with the Foreign Ministry monitoring ongoing developments in Gaza. 00:15that there are 15 Palestinians who will be brought to Malaysia, and the Foreign Minister

00:46The total number of Palestinians who have been detained in Israel for more than 20 years

00:58is around 380, but they cannot be in Palestine.

01:07Therefore, a number of countries, such as Qatar and Turkey, agree to take 100 Palestinians,

01:17while countries like Malaysia take 15.

01:21But of course, aspects of their movement, their presence, and strict monitoring will be carried out

01:32by the security agencies, and they will be subjected to, or some conditions will be set

01:42for their activities in Malaysia.

01:45So, strict monitoring will be carried out by the security agencies.

01:51These 15 people have not yet been in Malaysia, the process has not yet begun.

01:58And we are well aware of the current situation in Gaza, as a result of the Israeli attack yesterday,

02:08the process of discussing the issue of peace and weaponry is underway, so we will follow this process.

02:28Will they be allowed to do and not allowed to do? And will they be placed in one place?
