Surah Al-Fatiha is the opening chapter of the Quran and is also known as "Umm Al-Quran" (The Mother of the Quran) and "Ash-Shifa" (The Cure). It is a Makkan surah consisting of seven verses.
This surah is a combination of praise, supplication, and guidance. It highlights Allah's mercy, sovereignty, and the Day of Judgment. It also contains a prayer for guidance on the straight path (Sirat al-Mustaqeem) while seeking protection from the path of those who earned Allah’s anger or went astray.
