00:00Well in this hustle bustle of this holy town of Varanasi where the alleys and the back
00:17lanes are so congested that you might have to walk side by side giving way to these two
00:27wheelers honking away to glory and then you meet friends from different parts of the world and
00:32they are primarily coming from England and Germany as I've been told. Thank you so much
00:36for visiting India first of all and this visit to Varanasi, how do you feel coming here?
00:41Over-stimulated, it's very loud. But it's beautiful, it's beautiful.
00:46Right, I'm sure you must not have seen anything like this anywhere in another part of the world.
00:52No, it's very different, it's very different, very different to home for sure.
00:56If given an opportunity, would you come back again?
00:59Oh, maybe yeah, definitely to India for sure. It's a beautiful country.
01:03We were mainly in Rajasthan so we went to Jaisalmer, Bikander, Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur.
01:11Yeah, we were mainly over there and then we went to Agra as well.
01:14Oh, that's nice, that's nice. Maybe you will find Varanasi very different from all the tourist
01:18destinations that we have seen.
01:20Well, we've only been here for a few hours so can't really tell but I'm enjoying it.
01:25I love it. I feel a bit under-stimulated, I thought it was going to be worse.
01:30So, the experience that you see here in India, have you seen it anywhere else?
01:36No, nowhere else in the world. I've been to Thailand and it's a little bit more tamer
01:40but all the colour and the scenery is beautiful but it's a lot more hectic, especially Varanasi
01:47at the moment, it's sad.
01:48Yeah, yeah, exactly. It gets even more hectic, I believe, in a couple of days when Holi is
01:54going to be played here.
01:55Oh gosh, yeah, we're going to be in Delhi for it so we're quite looking forward to the
01:59hecticness and the colours and we're all going to wear our whites.
02:02Right.
02:03I'm from a little seaside town in England so it's a lot different there but yeah, it's nice.
02:09I'm from England, I'm from Market as well. It's amazing being here, it's so busy, it's
02:14nothing like anything at home. The only thing I'd say it's like at home is maybe Leicester
02:17Square at Christmas time. That's completely overrun in London but yeah, it's really cool.
02:22We've come to Delhi, we've done a whole tour, it's been absolutely amazing. Thanks for having
02:27us and looking after us.
02:28I think people are very much in the moment here. It seems like, even though everything's
02:32very busy, I feel it's a very calm place, a very colourful place.
02:36I think people talk about India a lot. In England, people are very aware of India and
02:41everything that's going on here. It's seen as a very exciting place, lots of things happening.
02:47I think I was expecting a lot of India to be like Varanasi, where I feel Varanasi is
02:53in reality a lot busier than the most of India but all very beautiful and lovely people.
02:59I'm really enjoying India so far. I feel like I've been now in India for like four weeks
03:04so I kind of get used to all the busy roads, the honking. It can be a little bit overstimulating
03:12at times but yeah, I'm really enjoying it.
03:16Great and if given an opportunity, would you come back again?
03:20Yeah, I might also come back to explore the South because I'm now only have seen places
03:27in the North and I feel like the South might be a bit different.
03:30Lovely, thank you so much for taking time out and speaking to One India. We really appreciate it.
03:34And this is the United Colours of the World, if I may say so.
03:38And Varanasi is the place that can surely guarantee the fact that you come here,
03:42you don't just meet Indians, you meet the whole world here and that's the beauty of Varanasi.
03:47Thanks for watching this special broadcast on One India.
