00:00Ladies and gentlemen, Alhamdulillah, this year, Mawib has once again allotted a sum of
00:131.1 million ringgit of zakat money to be distributed to 5,500 eligible recipients in the three
00:22constituencies, namely Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
00:27And today, in Putrajaya alone, we have welcomed and accommodated as many as 700 recipients.
00:34And thank you once again to Mawib and also almost 2 million zakat payers in this year
00:41because without their contribution, this pure effort would certainly not be realized.
00:48Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, this zakat, in addition to being a form of worship, it
00:54is also a manifestation of the concept of social justice, where we can unite the poor
01:05and also at the same time balance the social gap between the poor and the rich.
01:12For example, where the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, did not include
01:17the believers, the rich, while his neighbors were hungry.
01:23So this is the spirit of unity that is the basis of social justice in Islam.
01:30And Islam teaches us all that this human-to-human relationship must be based on a strong uqwah,
01:39just like the statement of Allah s.w.t.
01:41If we look at Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 10, which means,
01:45Indeed, the believers are brothers and sisters.
01:49Ladies and gentlemen, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, also emphasized
01:52the concept of Islamic uqwah and how important it is to unite the Muslims,
01:58among each other, where in a hadith there is also a part of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him,
02:03which means, for example, the believers are in a relationship of love and affection,
02:08like one body.
02:10And when one of the members is in pain, the whole body will also feel the pain.
02:18Therefore, in implementing this social responsibility, Islam has established a group that is entitled
02:24to receive help so that their basic needs are fulfilled.
02:28And that is the proof that Islam is comprehensive, comprehensive, and of course, perfect.
02:38That is also what I always emphasize.
02:40If there are among us who are still left or left out of the development line and modernization,
02:47then we are responsible to pull them together with us.
02:52And if there are those who are still struggling with poverty, especially urban poverty,
02:57we are also responsible to give them opportunities and efforts for them to rise.
03:04Insha'Allah, through the flagship program of JW, which is the Human Success Program or PUJI,
03:10we will continue to take approach to this social justice.
03:15So, for example, today, through the Ihsan Initiative at PUJI,
03:20the government will continue to ensure that every cent of zakat money reaches those in need.
