Restored Piper Cub

Before landing in Sainte-Mère-Eglise, this plane has been around, almost 70 years of busy life recoded in every detail in its logbook, which attests of its service during the battle of Normandy.

A former Luftwaffe pilot owned the plane postwar to fly for a Beer brewery advertising their brand in the air. His new owner, an American businessman, donated the Piper Cub to the Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mère-Eglise.

It is in perfect flying conditions and there is no shorter of pilots in the area willing to fly this nice and reliable airplane. Once registered, the Piper Cub will fly over Normandy again.
