00:00Formally ordained as Bishop of Balanga is Most Reverend Rufino Sescon Jr.

00:07He served as Principal Consecrator in Lingayen, Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas,

00:12along with Sinakubau Bishop Emeritus Onesto Ongtioko

00:17and Andipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos as co-consecrators in his ordination as Bishop.

00:24Gratia or Grace is the motto of Bishop Sescon,

00:27which is also the inspiration for the motto of his batch in San Carlos Seminary,

00:32Everything is a Grace.

00:34Bishop Sescon was ordained as Bishop in 1998

00:38and served as Personal Secretary of Nooya Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin.

00:44Under his pastoral leadership,

00:46Quiapo Church was elevated as a National Shrine last July.

00:52In December of last year,

00:54Sescon was ordained by Pope Francis as the Fifth Bishop of Balanga.

00:59On Saturday, March 1,

01:01he established his canonical installation

01:04as Bishop in the Cathedral Shrine of St. Joseph in Balanga, Bataan.

01:10I pray that we never forget that to be a good Christian,

01:16a good priest,

01:18a good Christian,

01:20is also to leave our steps to become a good citizen,

01:24vigilant to truth,

01:26justice,

01:27integrity,

01:28freedom,

01:29and peace.
