00:00The Presidential Communications Office of PCO has just issued a formal notice to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:08that the new leader of PCO Alamin will be assigned to the news center of Clayzal, Pardilla.

00:16I want the President to be able to give a message and a program to our ordinary Filipinos.

00:24What we want to happen is for the people to know that the government is for the people.

00:31The information that should be known and helpful to the Filipinos

00:36is the priority of the new leader of the Presidential Communications Office, J. Ruiz.

00:42Today, Ruiz formally asked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as the fourth member of PCO.

00:51As a veteran newscaster, Ruiz is far from being able to reach the programs and projects of the government

00:59for the most poor Filipinos.

01:02There are many programs that people need to know.

01:06Education programs, free homes, free...

01:10well, not necessarily, but stay-at-home programs.

01:14For our fellow Filipinos, the government needs to be close to the people.

01:20The first order of our President is that the message of the government should be known by the people.

01:28PCO Secretary Ruiz also ordered the implementation of programs

01:34that are against spreading false information or fake news.

01:38There are many lies that are being told to us.

01:42There are no facts. It's not based on facts.

01:46Our facts should be truthful.

01:49That's what's true about us. We are not the ones who are being lied to.

01:52Lies are prohibited.

01:54Ruiz is known for his two decades of service in the media industry

01:59and his wholehearted support to Filipino artists.

02:03He replaced Cesar Chavez after becoming PCO Acting Secretary.

02:09Chavez was able to turn over all the completed and ongoing programs of PCO to Ruiz

02:16as well as the initiatives that will strengthen its employment and attached agencies.

02:22I am ready to give advice if you ask for it.

02:27I tell my media staff that I am as good as my last performance.

02:33I will continue to support the Marcos Administration and its programs.

02:39Along with Ruiz, who faced the media, is Attorney Claire Castro,

02:43who became PCO Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer,

02:48who is expected to face the media regularly

02:51to further clarify the programs and policies of the government

02:55and to clarify the hottest issues.

02:58The President will speak for himself.

03:01We will be the ones to explain and expound the directives and the pronouncements of the palace.

03:10What we want is for the message to reach not only the media but also the people.

03:18The truth, not intrigues without evidence.

03:23Castro immediately responded to the allegation of former President Rodrigo Duterte

03:28against President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

03:31that he will not step down from his position when his term is complete

03:35and that he will declare martial law.

03:38Castro asked what evidence and how it can be proven by the field of Duterte.

03:43He said that he will not step down from the administration of President Marcos.

03:48So what do we expect from former President Duterte?

03:53Make an intrigue and plant evidence.

03:56First, the palace was fooled and the issue was made up by Duterte.

04:02According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,

04:05this is a new trick from the man who is the factory of fake news or false information.

04:11The administration will defend the constitution,

04:15will follow the rule of law and will respect the rights of the people.
