00:00That is 2010, the then Chief Minister, Dr. Kalingar, allocated about 90 acres of land
00:08for the growth of film industry, for the workers, producers and actors.
00:14But it got lapsed because every three years we are supposed to renew it
00:22because lot of government change was there.
00:25Our own association's office bearers changed, so it was left, you know, it was left like that.
00:33Now, after realizing it, we gave a memorandum to the Chief Minister
00:40to give back the allotted 90 acres for the growth of film industry.
00:48And the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister took a great interest in this issue
00:55and they brought a wonderful result.
00:58They are… they have seen that we get back our land and definitely it's going to be
01:04benefited by about 35,000, 40,000 workers and with their family about a lakh people
01:12will be enjoying that place and there is going to be a studio,
01:15there is going to be a public places, there is going to be a wonderful school.
01:21So, on behalf of the whole Tamil film industry,
01:26I thank the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister
01:29and I would like to have a special thanks to Mr. Poochumurugan,
01:34who is our Vice President of Nadigar Sangam who took this issue and brought it to this end.
01:43Thank you very much.
