00:00Willie, happy to have you here at Austin. There seems to be a big increase in popularity in country western music. Can you explain that for us?

00:08Well, it's really not hard to explain. I think everyone is just finally catching up to country music.

00:13It's been around a long time and the young people have discovered it.

00:16And when all that enthusiasm gets behind anything, it's got to go.

00:23I've been associated with Austin City Limits since the beginning.

00:39I really get nervous about shows, but for some reason I couldn't sleep last night.

00:43I was definitely terrified when I heard I was going to play Austin City Limits.

00:48That show has a soul about it that comes through when you watch it.

00:52When you're playing Austin City Limits, you're playing more of a real show.

00:56There's so much history and tradition and heroic influence. It's pretty overwhelming.
