Women in Delhi to get Rs 2,500 aid by March 8: Rekha Gupta

Delhi Chief Minister-designate Rekha Gupta on Thursday assured that the BJP government would fulfill its poll promise on providing Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance to women.

02:58Piyush. The BJP making it very clear right now that they will stick to their guarantees,

03:02that there's no question of them delaying any payments, and the focus is on women. A

03:07woman Chief Minister announcing that the first instalment of financial aid for women will

03:12come out by March 8th. The messaging is very, very important here.

03:22Well, actually you would remember that the women in Delhi have voted for BJP in large

03:26numbers. The BJP has got more than 45% vote share in Delhi, and out of this vote share,

03:32women have voted for BJP in large numbers, and that is why the first responsibility of

03:37Bharatiya Janata Party government would be to full the promises those are made to women.

03:41Remember that just before the elections, it was BJP's National President J.P. Nanda who

03:46had announced the manifesto for Delhi polls, where he had made it very clear that after

03:52forming the government, BJP government will ensure that women in Delhi get Rs.2500 per

03:58month. So what we are now learning is that Rekha Gupta has said that on 8th of March

04:03or before that, the government is going to give Rs.2500 to women in Delhi, and that promise

04:10will be fulfilled. This is one of the promises, Akshita, which also tops the three big promises

04:17those were made by BJP. One, cleaning Yamuna, two, giving Rs.2500 to every woman in Delhi,

04:23and third one is implementing Ayushman Yojana. So, first promise as far as giving money is

04:29concerned, on that Rekha Gupta has assured that the government, soon after forming the

04:33government, before 8th of March, the government will ensure that women in Delhi get Rs.2500

04:39per month. As far as Ayushman Yojana is concerned, on that also the government is working, and

04:45on the front of cleaning Yamuna, we have already seen the machines those are being

04:50used to clean Yamuna. So all the promises which BJP made up, they will have to fulfil

04:55because now people have given a lot of mandate, a huge mandate to Bharatiya Janata Party,

05:00responsibility lies on BJP leadership as to how does it fulfil the promises those have

05:04been made to the people of Delhi. Akshita?
