00:27This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reminded the new officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

00:33in his oath-taking ceremony today.

00:35Earlier, 35 newly promoted general and flag officers of the AFP were sworn in by the President.

00:41Among those sworn in by the Commander-in-Chief of the AFP

00:45are the graduates of the Foreign Pre-Commission Training Institutions, or FPCTI.

00:52The oath-taking ceremony is part of the official's duty and responsibility

00:57in the Armed Forces.

00:59On behalf of the President, he encouraged the AFP officers to continue to live up to the core value

01:06of the Armed Forces in fulfilling their duties.

01:10The President specifically mentioned the role of these officers

01:13in protecting the territory of the Philippines, as well as the security of every Filipino.

01:18The Executive Board encouraged the FPCTI graduates to use what they learned abroad

01:24to further strengthen the Armed Forces of the Philippines

01:28in the face of the growing geopolitical landscape.

01:31The Executive Board also encouraged the AFP

01:34to properly and peacefully carry out the 2025 National Oath.

01:39It also urged that Filipinos should not hesitate to give a credible election.

01:45As a nation that deeply values and honors our right to vote,

01:49we are counting on the Armed Forces to ensure a peaceful, credible,

01:53and orderly conduct of the electoral process that Filipinos expect from us.

01:58Alan, President Marcos Jr. also assured that the AFP administration

02:04continues to support the establishment of peace, democracy, and especially the rule of law.
