00:00U.S. President Donald Trump's big charge. Trump backed his dot chief and Tesla CEO Elon Musk,

00:05lashing $21 million in funding to allegedly increasing the voter turnout in India.

00:11Trump claims with India being one of the highest tax-paying countries, it already has a lot of

00:15money. Trump says he has a lot of respect for India and Prime Minister Modi, but the U.S.

00:19doesn't need to give $21 million to the country. India certainly does not need any of the United

00:25States funding. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, our voter turnout was over 65 percent, which is

00:32as against 64 percent, close to 64 percent in the U.S. presidential elections.

00:42All right, so in fact, President Donald Trump had spoken about this, saying that India doesn't

00:46need any funding. India is a rich country. It is a country of people who pay tax and it's the

00:51highest tax-paying country. Trump had said that with India being one of the highest tax-paying

00:55countries, it already has a lot more money. Listen in to what he said.

01:34need any money. And the reason for this is because we are a high tax-paying country, is what

01:47its way to India day after headhunting in the country. The EV giant has moved closer to launching

01:53its first retail outlet in the country. Tesla has finalized locations for its first showrooms in New

01:59Delhi's Aero City and Mumbai's Bandra Kurla complex, is what we're learning. Sources say

02:04both outlets will span about around 5,000 square feet. Tesla has not yet finalized the opening

02:11dates for the showrooms. The company has also ramped up hiring in India, posting job listings

02:16for 13 mid-level positions, including store and customer relationship managers.
