02:16The meeting, to which Kyiv was not invited, focused on negotiating an end to Moscow's

02:21war in Ukraine.

02:42Zelensky's announcement came as he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for

02:47talks in Ankara, during which he said any Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations shouldn't

02:53take place behind the backs of the parties involved.

02:57Meanwhile, President Erdogan stated that the United States' approach aligns with Turkish

03:03policy.

03:04He also suggested that Turkey would be an ideal host for upcoming peace talks between

03:28Russia, the U.S. and Ukraine, due to his country's efforts to mediate between the warring sides

03:34in the past.

03:39The European Union continues to push for a seat at the negotiating table on future peace

03:44talks regarding Ukraine.

03:47On Tuesday, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the

03:51President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, met with the U.S. Special Envoy for

03:56Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, who said a few days ago that Europe would be excluded

04:02from the negotiating table.

04:23Even though von der Leyen told Kellogg that the EU was ready to step up its financial

04:27and military support for Ukraine, it appeared that little had changed after the meetings

04:32concluded.

04:33However, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio did hint after meeting with Russia officials

04:39in Saudi Arabia that the EU could be involved in negotiations to possibly lift sanctions

04:44on Moscow.

05:08Russia set down for the first talks about Ukraine but without Ukraine at the table.

08:47Belgian Interior Minister Bernard Kvinten confirmed that 100 extra people would be hired

08:52as he attended daily inspections.

08:55The port of Antwerp is an important location within Belgium's broader fight against drug-related

09:00violence.

09:01More than 7,000 people were checked at the port last year, and 51 suspects have already

09:06been arrested this year.

09:08Efforts are being accelerated after the country's capital, Brussels, saw a wave of drugs-related

09:13violence in recent weeks.

09:15The city saw six shootings related to drug gangs in the span of just two weeks, with

09:20two people killed since the start of February.

09:24Kvinten and Justice Minister Annelies Verlinden have committed to reinforcing police forces

09:29in both Antwerp and Brussels.

09:36Around 100,000 Germans live in Spain, out of nearly four million who will vote from
