A new study has uncovered the "woody," "spicy," and "sweet" scents of ancient Egyptian mummies, shedding light on the mummification process and its evolution over time.

00:30microbiological degradation, but that was not the case, which means that the environment

00:35in this museum is actually quite good in terms of preservation.

00:50There were also notes such as floral or musty, and for example, specifically the note floral

00:58probably indicates that some of the mummification materials are plant-based, such as resinous.

01:06These resins could be, for example, from pine trees or juniper and similar.

01:12So in general, many of these mummification materials have quite a pleasant smell.
