00:00My work has consumed me, and I love my work, so I will have no complaints working.
00:05In fact, when I'm sitting at home, I'm like, now what do I do?
00:07You know when your film ends or whatever that you're working, you wrap up and you're next day free, and I don't know what to do.
00:17I think age is just a number. It's how you feel mentally, emotionally, physically.
00:22Luckily, touch wood, I'm active and I'm healthy and fit.
00:25Now I've made so many trips to Dubai, it feels like home.
00:30I know places, I'm so familiar to places. There are places like restaurants and just things and activities that I like doing here when I'm here.
00:42Me and my team, we were just talking about it, the next time we come, I want to skydive in Dubai.
00:46And I feel like this is one safe place where you can kind of attempt skydiving, so I'm going to try that out.
00:53I'm amazed and pleasantly surprised to know a lot of people here watch Hindi cinema, like they love Hindi cinema.
00:59You sit in a cab, they're playing Hindi music, you go to a restaurant or wherever, people recognise you, they know you, anywhere.
01:08You go to a Dubai shopping mall, I feel like everybody has so much love for Hindi cinema here, which is amazing.
01:14So there are a lot of people who kind of, one is, they identify me as a drug-addicted girl or a gungroo girl.
01:20These two have been the highlights of my songs, the songs that I've been a part of.
01:25And I love them to death, I love all my songs, but these two really have stood out for people and they shower so much love.
01:36And I see that joy when people come and approach me and they say, oh you're the gungroo girl, you're the drug-addicted girl, and I'm like, yes.
01:42My work has consumed me and I love my work, so I will have no complaints working.
01:48In fact, when I'm sitting home, I'm like, now what do I do?
01:50You know when your film ends or whatever that you're working, you wrap up and you're next day free and I don't know what to do.
01:57I just want to work and I just want to enjoy.
02:00I always knew who I am and what I wanted to do, so I pat myself for backing myself up, yes.
02:04Not, you know, kind of not selling myself short, feeling that, oh but what if, you know, and living in fear.
02:13What felt right to me organically is what I followed.
02:16I followed my heart and so far my heart's not led me wrong, at least professionally it's not led me wrong.
02:22I think I've pretty much managed to work with, like as you said, you know, with good people.
02:27And that for me is the biggest victory, you know, to work with the right people.
02:31Those are the experiences you take back with you in life.
02:34I believe Sarvgan Sampan is my, the next project that'll be coming out.
02:39I can't speak about the release date but hope, but it is very, very soon.
02:43It's a sweet slice of life kind of a film which has a little bit of a social comedy happening and,
02:48you know, it's empowering and it's amazing and it's sweet, sweet, simple slice of life kind of a film.
02:55When you're looking forward to something, when you're absolutely in love with what you're doing
02:59and it can be a project, it could be a small gig, it could be a song, you know, and it could be anything that excites you.
03:06You're automatically, you know, your energy levels are all pumped up and you're feeling better and you're feeling good about it.
03:11And that is what excitement is, no? Like you want to give your best.
03:15And I think I've just been lucky to love what I do.
03:18And I want to continue doing that and get better at it so that I can see for myself that improvement
03:25and growth over the years and feel that's when I can maybe pat my back and be like, okay, you know what?
03:30You haven't reached that spot.
03:31No, no, I haven't reached that spot yet.
03:32This process is all about you cannot have, you know, what you feel is your pride and self-respect and everything,
03:37which I still believe like there's, I would never compromise that ever.
03:41You have to keep your ego aside.
03:43At the end of the day, you're literally always doing what you've been asked to do, no?
03:48Be it a filmmaker, be it a producer, be it a this, be it a that, be it promotions, be it a,
03:52you know, you're always kind of told, but you also don't want to lose yourself in the bargain.
03:58So, you have to maintain that very thin line and balance and that mid-path that, okay, I'm doing my job rightly.
04:06I'm listening and very respectful.
04:08You always have to be respectful, be it your audience, be it people you're working with,
04:12because even if you're not, like, you know, I'm very passionate when I talk.
04:16So, I go like, la, la, la, la, la, la, but you know, I think, which is fine.
04:20But, you know, some people can be like, okay, maybe too many opinions, too much of this.
04:24So, there are times when you could be misconstrued and they could perceive you a little like,
04:29oh, she has too many opinions, or she has too much to say, or she has too many questions to ask,
04:32or this one is this, or this one is, and also the fact that I'm very introverted,
04:37which now, you know, I'm kind of like a muscle.
04:39I'm practicing my confidence level and be like, you know what, I'm going to be out there.
04:42I'm going to be more me.
04:44But a shy, awkward, introverted girl really has to put in an attempt,
04:49and especially in today's social media age, where everybody has become an extrovert.
04:53So, I'm like, where's this place for introverts like me?
04:56You are lost in the crowd.
04:57I am trying to live in the present.
04:59I don't want to jog my brain to the future or live in the past.
05:03I think present is, you know, it needs to be celebrated and enjoyed.
05:08And we kind of always are living in future, which takes a huge toll on our stress levels, I feel.
05:15Because, you know, you have such, because I know if I start doing it,
05:18I'll have unreal expectations from myself.
05:21And I will highly disappoint myself if I don't attain them.
05:24So, I don't want to do that to myself.
05:25I'm happy being in the present and just enjoy the moment that I'm right now in.
05:30I got Gungroo and Hrithik Roshan in Gungroo with me.
05:32So, I'm very happy.
05:33He's been a fabulous co-actor.
05:34He's one of my favourite, favourite people in the entire industry.
05:37And I feel, he's someone who reminds me of like, you know, like there's a lot that I,
05:43how I see him, like I see a lot of that in me as well.
05:45So, it's kind of like, I'm extremely fond of him.
05:49He's a warm and a chivalrous man who I think nowadays is a,
05:55I mean, there's a scarcity of such men.
05:57Who do you want to act with?
05:58Shah Rukh Khan.
06:00That was quick.
06:01That was super quick.
06:02Yeah, yeah.
06:03Other than Shah Rukh Khan.
06:03I have no, I have absolutely no confidence to walk up to him.
06:07Even though he has met me, we have sat, we've talked once.
06:11He was kind enough to, you know, be generous to speak to me once.
06:15But like, I still, despite having met him and all,
06:18I still don't have the confidence to walk up to him because I feel I don't want to like,
06:21crowd him.
06:22I don't want to like, you know, like how you don't want to like,
06:24and it's not just being in awe of him.
06:26Firstly, I'm a very awkward person to walk up to anybody.
06:29I can't walk up to,
06:31You're really in the wrong profession.
06:32I am.
06:32But you know, that's, no, actually I'm in the right profession because
06:35I don't have to be me for films.
06:37I can be other characters, which is so much far more entertaining for me.
06:41I've worked with Ranbir, Ranbir, everybody.
06:44Like I feel, Shahid is someone who I haven't worked with.
06:47I'd like to, I feel like it could be interesting working with Shahid.
06:50I think you guys will have good chemistry.
06:52Yeah, I feel so too.
06:53And he's also a very, very talented actor.
06:56So it could be interesting.
