00:10Welcome to Dubai Butterfly Garden.

00:12My name is Thea.

00:13I am your tour guide for this morning.

00:15So we'll proceed to the museum area, which we first see when you go inside here in the

00:20garden.

00:21As you can see, we have all the dead butterflies, the different types of butterflies that we

00:26also sell.

00:27So we also sell those type of souvenirs for our dear guests.

00:31Every day we collect dead butterflies inside the garden.

00:35And when we collect good ones, such as these beautiful butterflies, we send them to our

00:39production team and they make the frames.

00:42We did this one because we have tour guides for the kids.

00:46So we explain to them what are the differences with butterflies from female and male.

00:56Let's start here in zone one.

00:58So now we have three sections here.

01:01We divided the butterflies into three sections.

01:03We have from Costa Rica, Philippines, and Thailand.

01:09We have a lot of different types of butterflies inside the garden, around 50 to 60 varieties

01:15of butterflies, mainly from Costa Rica, Philippines, and Thailand.

01:19Such as the paper kite butterfly, the beautiful blue morpho butterfly, the giant owl butterfly,

01:26the great Mormon butterfly, and the egg fly butterfly, and others.

01:31As well as we have here the largest moth in the world, which is the Atlas moth.

01:36In the whole garden, approximately we have 10 to 15,000 alive butterflies.

01:41We have built-in ACs inside the garden, which we monitor and control according to the needs

01:47of our butterflies, plants, and guests.

01:50So we maintain 24 to 30 degrees Celsius maximum.

01:54Regularly, we give the butterflies rotten fruits, such as the bananas and oranges, aside

02:00from the nectars that they are getting from our flowers inside.

02:04And additional notice, while butterflies live up to two to three weeks only.

02:15This area, this is the gazebo, which we intend to put butterflies also inside, so that our

02:20guests can interact closely with the butterflies.

02:24We have here the largest moth in the world that I've been talking about earlier.

02:35So this is the Atlas moth, it is from the Philippines.

02:40So this one lives up to seven days only.

02:45So now we can proceed here in this side, which we also have here the table or the frames

02:51for our chrysalis that the guests can see about the life cycle of the butterfly.

02:56So here you can see a frame here with our chrysalis, or the pupa of the butterfly.

03:01This is the stage where the body parts of the butterfly and the beautiful color of the

03:07butterfly develop.

03:08So they rest in their house, which we call the chrysalis, for two to three weeks.

03:13And then after that, they will become a beautiful adult butterfly.

03:18This is the end here in the section one area.

03:22So we regularly can see here that we have like fruit scents here, which we gave them

03:27fruits for them to eat also.

03:29Now we are heading into our next area, which is the second zone here in the garden, which

03:35we have here the second largest butterfly in the world.

03:38Let's go see.

03:39Actually, for the second largest butterfly in the world, which is the giant owl butterfly

03:49or the Caligo butterfly, we can't see them active at this time because they are nocturnal.

03:54They are active at night time.

03:56So we can only see the butterflies like feed them themselves and resting at the side areas.

04:02So as you observe also at the wings of this butterfly, they are called the giant owl butterfly

04:08because you can see from the print of their wings, it's like an eye of an owl.

04:14I have here the sample of a dead butterfly.

04:17This one, you see, it's like an owl, the eye of an owl.

04:23In this section also, we made it or our team made it.

04:27This is the jungle area where the butterflies also feel like they are in a true nature.

04:34We can also see here, like for example, like for this kids that they are enjoying also.

04:39That's why we add up other attractions like koi fishes for the kids.

04:47Now this is the end of our section two area.

04:50We can proceed here in the connecting area leading to the section three.

04:55So as you can see here, we also have here like the board for the butterfly species as

05:01well as the life cycle of the butterfly as well.

05:04In this area, we usually explain to them, especially for those kids who are very scared

05:10with the butterflies, that butterflies are harmless.

05:13So now we are heading to our last section.

05:16So in this section, this is the resting area of our guests, which they can sit and have

05:21time with our butterflies.

05:23So this is one of our highlight butterfly here in the garden.

05:26As you can see, the blue morpho has a very stunning color.

05:30And based on our research as well, this beautiful blue morpho butterfly is the second most beautiful

05:37butterfly in the world.

05:38They are the fastest or the very active butterfly that we have here.

05:41So if we try to catch them, especially at this time, their active time, they're just

05:46gonna flee.

05:47So we can basically see the blue morpho, it's resting at the ground area or flying around.
