00:22Sheikh Hamdan has gone on to build a racing empire that has helped transform the equine

00:29Sheikh Hamdan established his first racing stable there in 1981 and would begin to invest
00:34heavily in both flat racing and breeding.
00:37Through his vision and extraordinary passion for horses, he acquired major breeding operations
00:42in England, Ireland and the United States that run and manage under the Shadwell banner
00:47which is headquartered in Norfolk, England.
00:49Sheikh Hamdan has also been passionately involved in promoting the purebred Arabian across the
00:54world through his Dubai International Arabians Races and the Arabian Show Horse through the
00:58Dubai Arabian Horse Championship which is held annually.
01:02Additionally, Sheikh Hamdan's racing interests have resulted in the sustained employment
01:06of more than 200 staff around the world and Shadwell have given back to the sport through
01:10their lavish sponsorship portfolio which is dedicated substantially to the development
01:14of racing at Jebel Ali Racecourse.
