00:19why don't you sing a song for us? And in the beginning, I was more like, do I really want to?
00:24But when they start supporting you, it's very uplifting. So I think that's what really accounts
00:31for a lot. I wanted to get my talent out there as quick as possible. And I think YouTube was the
00:37best way to do that. So we started off with one subscriber and then we used to get like
00:4210 subscribers. We're like, oh, this is good. And then I remember when we reached 100 and we
00:46threw a party and then when we reached 1000 and I was just coming back from tuitions and my mom had
00:53literally gone to a restaurant, asked them to play my song over their radio and then we cut a
00:59cake. And this was on Valentine's last year. So we hit 1000 subscribers on Valentine's and then
01:03this Valentine's we hit 15K. So it's just a beautiful feeling, especially when you get a lot
01:09of support from your parents. It's just, it's amazing. My mom is my lyricist. She's not
01:16professionally trained or anything, but I don't know from where she gets her inspiration. It just
01:22comes to her overnight. I think it's just natural talent because she never really wrote anything
01:27before. But when it came to my coach telling me that she needs to release an original and I was
01:32like, I really need to do it. So my mom just sat down one night. I had no idea what she was doing
01:37behind her laptop. And I'm just sitting there doing my work. I don't really, I'm not bothered
01:41with what she's doing. And the next morning she tells me that your original lyrics are ready. And
01:45I'm like, what? So she's like, yeah, and we go to the studio on a Thursday night. And we figure it
01:53out. And that's when Chalte Chalte came out. I read a lot. So playing with words doesn't come
01:58difficult to me. But I never thought of, you know, rhythms and modulations and all those like, I'm
02:04not a music person at all. So I just sent him a very rough draft of like four or five lines that
02:08I could compose for Chalte Chalte. And he immediately called up and he said, Well, this is beautiful.
02:13Where did you get it? I said, I just composed them. And he's like, I think you should take it
02:18forward. This is really beautiful. So you know, when you get a professional encouragement,
02:22that keeps you going. I mean, I'm just starting. So I'm going to explore my range. I really want
02:28to get really high like something like Beyonce, because I told you, she's like my role model,
02:33I really look up to her.
