00:00The experience was amazing, every bit of it.
00:08When I got announced, I felt so overwhelmed and I felt like, oh my God, it's happening.
00:14But at the end of the day, when me thinking about it, it's just like I'm not only representing
00:19me as a person, I'm representing a whole country.
00:21So I felt like it's heavy, like there's responsibilities and I have to present my country in the best
00:27way possible.
00:29In getting to that, I got an appointment actually before me going, weeks before that.
00:33So we had to do everything really quickly and I want to thank my team, Eugene PR and
00:38my national director for helping me to do all of that.
00:41Also for the fashion designer who did my dress within three days, which is amazing.
00:46However, I want to thank my beautiful hairdresser, hairstylist, Maggie Simon, for giving me the
00:53best hair possible, as you can see.
00:56One of the causes that's really close to my heart besides helping the environment is
01:03mental health.
01:04I think mental health is really important and it has to be normalized, it's a discussion,
01:09we have to normalize it.
01:10And it's okay if you feel like you're going through something and you need help, there's
01:15no shame in that.
01:16You can go and ask for help.
01:20I want to thank the Miss Universe organization, the president and vice president, Paula and
01:25Jonathan, because I thought me going there, they will give me options or they will force
01:30me to wear something or anything of that sort.
01:33But when I was there, they actually offered me the birkini without even telling me, are
01:38you okay with wearing that?
01:40No, they already open and they know about my culture and respected that.
01:43So that's really amazing.
01:45And however, not only with the birkini, they had me also two options of me to wear something
01:51like a scarf on top of it or a skirt.
01:54So they are really considerate and thoughtful.
01:59Hernaz is like my, one of the dearest people I met there, actually.
02:03I was so shy.
02:04I was looking forward to like meet her when I got to go there and see her in person.
02:09I was so shy to approach her.
02:11And then we had this interaction where she was talking to me, welcoming me because I
02:15was the last to attend there.
02:17And then after that, we just like, it just happened.
02:19We just bonded.
02:20And like, whenever we have breaks, like most of the times when we are like in rehearsals,
02:25like we sit together and sometimes I just go and accompany her to get her coffee.
02:30She's really sweet heart.
02:31And I feel like not only her in general, everyone I met in Miss Universe, like we all created
02:37a sisterhood.
02:38Like I got to learn a lot about them.
02:43So my favorite makeup tips is like always treat your face as a canvas.
02:47Take care of your skin.
02:49Skin care routine is so much important than what we think.
02:53We have to have like specific steps for instance, like avoid using makeup wipes because the
03:00makeup wipes, when you wipe off your makeup, it's really harsh on your skin.
03:03It can damage the cells.
03:05However, when you apply your makeup routine, make sure first like to use like towels or
03:10anything or even a t-shirt when you like wash your face and cleanse it and to tap it.
03:16Do not use like any harsh material on your face, just, you know, tap on your face and
03:22then you can use a toner.
03:23I always use toner.
03:24Toner is so important after cleansing.
03:29So I have to have my sanitizer.
03:32I have to have, because like COVID, we have to be careful.
03:35I have to have a lipstick.
03:36I usually don't go to go with lipstick as much as like lip tint.
03:41I have to have my blusher and I have to have my eyebrow product and also like I have to
03:47have like my mask and my wallet and yeah.
