00:00Hello, my name is Ivan Funk. I'm Managing Partner of Pailprop Partner and I'm the designer of this pavilion.

00:05I think you can experience once you're sitting or standing in here, you see the visitors behind me.

00:11Everybody's going crazy with this extremely Instagrammable place here. So everybody wants

00:16to take a selfie on the red carpet in front of this mirrored surface and it's very interactive

00:23here actually. You'll get some umbrellas and you can stand in front of it and from different

00:28perspectives you can take selfies in the facade and that's also the title of the pavilion. It's

00:34about reflections, the double meaning obviously. So the mirrored facade but also thoughts from

00:39Switzerland. And Switzerland in here is laying down the red carpet for the visitor with a very

00:46bold statement I think, fitting to the expo in Dubai. It's not very discreet, it's very bold and

00:53that's not what usually Switzerland is. We are focusing on a very particular experience we have

01:00in Switzerland. During winter time we don't see the sun too often in the cities so people go to

01:06the mountains and while going to the mountains they have to travel through a sea of fog and

01:14once you are in the sea of fog it's a very mystical sensual experience, sometimes a bit scary but also

01:22beautiful. And once you exit the sea of fog that's just amazing because your eyes first have to adapt

01:27to the new brightness, you see all those top of the mountains, the light is beautiful with the sunrise

01:34and the sunset and you see the waving of the sea of fog above you. And this experience we brought

01:41from Switzerland to Dubai and we did this real. So we don't have like artificial fog, we have real

01:49fog just made by pure water like fog is made in in the nature actually. And the third act is the

01:56more urban and innovative part of Switzerland where we have a very artsy and experiential

02:05experience for the visitors. So this is the overall story and narration of the Swiss Pavilion.
