KMT Proposes Stimulus Payments After Taiwan Reports US$16B Tax Surplus

Taiwan's finance ministry is reporting a 2024 tax surplus of over US$16 billion. Opposition Kuomintang lawmakers are proposing paying some of that money back to the public, by handing out US$305 cash payments.
